** The Best Of ... AY-3-8192 - Now Available!! **

Calling all Spectrum 128, Amstrad CPC and Atari ST music fans!! Now available from Binary Zone Interactive is this superb audio CD music compilation which contains a selection of classic tunes from the Speccy 128 and Amstrad CPC computers. The CD runs for OVER 74 minutes and features a massive 29 tracks in total!! All the music on the CD has been digitally recorded for optimum quality. I decided to produce this Compact Disc because I was actually an Amstrad CPC user for a good few years. During that time I heard a lot of music on the Amstrad and had a variety of favourite tunes. Now thanks to some excellent emulator software (and my recent purchase of a Spectrum 128) I was able to hear all my favourite 'AY' tunes once again. As the three CD's I have released featuring C64 music have proved to be so popular I thought I'd try something similar with Speccy 128 and Amstrad tunes. The General Instruments AY-3-8912 sound chip may not be as powerful as the mighty 'SID' chip present in the C64 but it is still capable of pumping out decent music. Some music on the CD actually sounds very similar to C64 music - "Glider Rider" by David Whittaker and "Ghouls 'n' Ghosts" by Tim Follin for example. This CD may be of interest to C64 music fans who want to compare how the music sounds compared to the SID versions (quite a few of the tracks on this CD will be familiar to C64 music fans!) As the inlay for this CD features colourful screenshots on both the front and back I have chosen to use high quality coated paper for the printing. The quality of the printing is outstanding and the rendered logo and screenshots look amazing! The text on the inlay is nice and crisp too.
